SUPPORT OF THE AUMA OBAMA FOUNDATION SAUTI KUU
The goal of the Auma Obama Foundation – Sauti Kuu, which translates as “Strong Voices”, is to give disadvantaged children and young people around the world prospects for an independent life. It aims to help children and young people from socially disadvantaged families, particularly in rural areas and urban slums, to recognize the strength of their own voice and their own potential.
Carbon GmbH hosted a small reception to welcome Dr. Auma Obama and Edwin Onyango Rabuogi. Edwin, who has already completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic at a garage in Kenya, received 4 weeks of training at Carbon GmbH in car body repair and will be able to apply this know-how himself in Kenya and pass it on to other young people.

WorldSkills Germany is the funding initiative for vocational skills competitions and learning in competition. The most important thing: not only do the participants themselves make a huge leap in knowledge and skills, they can also inspire and advance their entire company. How so? They compete with the best in their field from all over the world – under the guidance of experienced experts from WorldSkills Germany.
Since 2003, we have been supporting the German participants in the world championships financially, with equipment and with our expertise in body repair. We are now a member of WorldSkills Germany e.V. alongside other well-known companies.
